A \(k\)-move is a natural operation on knots introduced by Nakanishi. In the case \(k= 2\), it is the usual crossing change. In this paper the authors give equivalence classes (up to mutations and 5-moves) of Montesinos links. This is then related to Jones and Kauffman polynomials to completely determine the 5-move equivalence classes.
