In the paper under review, the authors prove the following result: ``Let \( M \) be a compact quaternionic Kähler manifold of quaternionic dimension \( n \) and positive scalar curvature \( K .\) If there is an eigenspinor for the Dirac operator with eigenvalue \( \lambda \) satisfying \[ \lambda ^2 = \frac{Kn+3}{4n+2}, \] then \( M \) is isometric to the quaternionic projective space''.
