This article provides proofs of results previously announced by \textit{S. Zakrzewski} [Proc. XXX Karpacz winter school of theor. physics, 433-439 (1995; Zbl 0868.17011)] including a list of 23 normal forms of possible Poisson Lie structures on the Poincaré group (the Lorentz group extended by translations). Each of these structures is of the \(r\)-matrix type (arises from a coboundary). Moreover, the invariants lying in the 3rd antisymmetric power of the Lie algebra form a one-dimensional subspace. The investigation parallels the known classification of quantum deformations of the relativistic symmetry group.
