Gonality and Clifford index of curves on \(K3\) surfaces (Q1401610): Difference between revisions

In this short note the author proves that for any \(g \geq 4\) one can construct, on some K3 surfaces, smooth curves of genus \(g\) and any Clifford index \(c\) of any gonality \(k\) in the proper ranges: \[ 0\leq c\leq \left[{{g-1}\over {2}}\right] \qquad{ \text or }\qquad 0\leq k\leq \left[{{g+3}\over {2}}\right]. \] The construction in fact makes use of K3 surfaces with Picard number \(2\).
