The paper under review is mainly expository and, as stated by the authors, its purpose is to demonstrate that the theory of Carleson measures and the theory of trees are closely related. For the sake of simplicity only the one-dimensional case in the dyadic setting is considered. The main result is a new two-sided local \(T(b)\) theorem that in this dyadic setting is stronger than the local \(T(b)\) theorem of \textit{M. Christ} [Colloq. Math. 60/61, 601-628 (1990; Zbl 0758.42009)].
