The author proves that a certain universal Hopf algebra introduced by M.~Dubois-Violette and G.~Launer, and associated to a nondegenerate bilinear form and a primitive \(m\)-th root of unity, has antipode of order \(2m\), under the assumption that the base field is algebraically closed of characteristic zero. In the second part of the paper, the author generalizes the Frobenius-Schur theorem of V.~Linchenko and S.~Montgomery to the case of cosemisimple Hopf algebras with involutive antipode.
