Gromov-Witten and Donaldson-Thomas invariants of complex threefolds can be seen roughly as two different ways to count holomorphic curves. A correspondence between them was conjectured by \textit{D. Maulik, N. Nekrasov, A. Okounkov, R. Pandharipande} [Compos. Math. 142, No. 5, 1263--1285 (2006; Zbl 1108.14046), 1286--1304 (2006; Zbl 1108.14047)] and as of now is established for local curves and toric Calabi-Yau threefolds, where both theories were completely solved. In this note the authors consider the correspondence for certain curve classes in \(\mathbb{P}^2\) bundles over algebraic curves. The Gromov-Witten invariants were computed in one of the author's previous work [Commun. Anal. Geom. 14, No. 4, 633--671 (2006; Zbl 1114.14033)]. Here the Donaldson-Thomas invariants are computed to first order and the comparison is made.
