The Oka property and its generalizations play a central role in analytic and geometric problems on Stein manifolds. The author proves the following theorem: If \(Y\) is a complex manifold such that any holomorphic map from a neighborhood of a compact convex set \(K \subset \mathbb{C}^{n}\) (\(n\) is a natural number) to \(Y\) can be approximated uniformly on \(K\) by entire maps \(\mathbb{C}^{n} \rightarrow Y\), then \(Y\) satisfies the Oka property. The paper contains the necessary preliminaries. Several interesting examples and problems are also presented.
