The authors prove non-existence of real hypersurfaces \(M\) in complex projective space \(\mathbb C\mathbb P^2\) and complex hyperspace \(\mathbb C\mathbb H^2\), with vanishing Jacobi operator \(R_W\), where \(W\) is the structure vector field on \(M\). They also prove that the Lie derivative \(\mathcal L_W R_W = 0\) if and only if \(M\) is pseudo-Einstein. These two results complement several known works on \(\mathbb C\mathbb P^n\) and \(\mathbb C\mathbb H^n\) for \(n \geq 3\), some of them cited in this paper.
