The author provides a version of the classical Penrose transform for the split signature case. More specifically, he interprets the kernel of the ultrahyperbolic Laplace operator on the real Grassmanian \(M\) of 2-planes in \(\mathbb{R}^4\) and the first cohomology group \(H^1_c(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^3\setminus \mathbb{R}\mathbb{P}^3,{\mathcal O}(-2))\). This gives a cohomological realization of the minimal representation of \(\text{SL}(4,\mathbb{R})\) in terms of [\textit{T. Kobayashi} and \textit{B. Orsted}, Adv. Math. 180, No. 2, 486--512 (2003; Zbl 1046.22004)].
