In this interesting paper, the author uses Remez inequalities for generalized polynomials of degree \(N\) (that is expressions of the form \(\prod^ k_{j=1} | z-z_ j|^{r_ j}\), with \(N:=r_ 1+r_ 2+\cdots+ r_ k)\) to derive Nikolskii inequalities in which the dependence is on \(N\). Then he uses these to estimate above the maximum distance between successive zeros of the \(n\) zeros of orthogonal polynomials \(p_ n(x)\) under weaker conditions on the associated weight \(w\) than previously known. There is also an indication of the size of the constants in these results.
