Let \(F^ n=(M^ n, L(x,y))\) be a Finsler space on a differentiable manifold \(M^ n\) having the fundamental function \(L(x,y)\). If there exists a Riemannian space \(R^ n=(M^ n,\alpha(x,y))\) such that Christoffel symbols constructed from the Riemannian metric \(\alpha(x,y)\) coincide with the connection coefficients \(G_{jk}^ i\) of the Berwald connection of \(F^ n\), then the author says that \(F^ n\) has the same projective structure with \(R^ n\). If we define a function \(F(x,y)\) by \(L^ 2=F \alpha^ 2\), then the condition for having the same projective structure is that the covariant derivative of \(F\) vanishes in \(F^ n\), that is, in \(R^ n\), as easily verified by the \(L\)-metrical property of the Berwald connection. Therefore, if \(R^ n\) admits a covariant constant tensor field \(H_{ijk}(x)\), for instance, of type (0,3) and we put \(\omega=\alpha^ 2/(H_{ijk}y^ iy^ jy^ k)^{2/3}\), then any function \(F\) of \(\omega\) satisfies the condition.
