The authors consider the problem of computing accurate estimates for initial conditions needed when an inverse problem solution is south by one of the methods which transform it into a finite sequence of initial value problems. Following the work of Kalaba the authors use the associative memory technique to compute these initial conditions, showing on a number of examples that the associative memory technique is very effective and accurate.
