A neural network is proposed which provides in real time the inverse of a nonsingular matrix. Using a Lyapunov function it is shown that the neural network is stable; for a given nonsingular matrix the corresponding neural network has only one stable state, which gives an approximation of the inverse matrix with an arbitrary small error. Two sets of simulation results are given which demonstrate the accuracy of the method.
