The author develops a string model using two-dimensional differential forms of arbitrary rank, examines the bosonic and fermionic sector of the string model and constructs the local supersymmetric string action with local conformal and Lorentz symmetries. The quantization of the considered model is further defined, and the connection with the topological quantum field theory is performed, the suggested model appearing as an example of the theory developed by E. Witten (1988). The cancellation of conformal anomalies is also investigated, bringing forth the critical space-time dimension \(d=4\).
