The varieties of languages corresponding to the varieties of finite band monoids (Q1186835): Difference between revisions

Using \textit{J. A. Gerhard}'s description of ``small'' generators for varieties of band monoids [Semigroup Forum 5, 362-369 (1973; Zbl 0258.20065)], the author obtains simple generators for the Boolean algebras of languages over a finite alphabet which are recognized by finite members of those varieties. She thus provides a description in terms of generators of the varieties of languages associated with pseudovarieties of band monoids according to Eilenberg's correspondence.
