The following is shown by the author: Let \(A\) be a complex abelian surface with a polarization \(H\) of type \((1,3)\). Take the subspace \(V\) of odd theta functions in \(2H\) with trivial semicharacter. This induces a map from the blowing up of \(A\) in the \(16\) 2-torsion points to \({\mathbb{P}}^ 5\) which factors through the desingularization \(S\) of the Kummer surface. If \(A\) cannot be principally polarized, then \(S\) is embedded as a quartic surface. Besides the images of the exceptional divisors, there are other \(16\) lines in this surface. Planes through these lines induce an elliptic fibration whose singular fibres are analyzed. A concrete example with the worst possible singular fibres is also given.
