The authors present a large-strain plasticity model, which divorces the finite rotation effects from the integration of the rates to update the material response over a load step. Thus any refinements developed previously for small-strain plasticity can be used without modification. Examples are presented to illustrate the realism and robustness of the numerical procedures.
