The author gives a fixed point theorem for multi-valued \(\Phi\)- contraction mappings in a Menger space. The theorem obtained gives, as a special case, a corresponding theorem in a fuzzy metric space. These theorems are related to similar fixed point theorems by \textit{O. Hadžic} [ibid. 29, No. 1, 115-125 (1989; Zbl 0681.54023)].
