An algebraic approach to the problem of finding coupling coefficients appearing in the amplitude equations is described. The proposed technique provides a simplification of the standard computational procedure and reduces the number of operations. Accurate calculations of the coupling coefficients in rotating pipe flows and in plane Poiseuille (channel) flows are given.
