A bounded geometry Riemannian manifold is considered and associated to it the graph obtained by discretizing the manifold. One then shows that the large time uniform decay for the heat kernel on the manifold and the decay of the standard random walk on the graph are the same, in the polynomial scale. As a consequence, one deduces that the large time behaviour of the heat kernel is invariant under rough isometries.
