    Die Arbeit befaßt sich mit der numerischen Integration gewöhnlicher Differentialgleichungssysteme, die durch Semidiskretisierung parabolischer Systeme entstehen. Es werden Mehrschritt-Verfahren untersucht, bei denen die Zeitschrittweiten auch von den Bereichen der Ortsdiskretisierung abhängen dürfen. Durch dieses Vorgehen kann die Effizienz der Verfahren unter Umständen erheblich gesteigert werden. Es werden eine Konsistenz- und Konvergenzanalyse erstellt sowie Stabilitätsbedingungen hergeleitet.
