The method of \textit{J. C. Nédélec} [Numer. Math. 35, 315-341 (1980; Zbl 0419.65069)] is slightly generalized. It is demonstrated that this method can be superconvergent at some special points. A convergence proof for the method of \textit{Kane S. Yee} [Numerical solution of initial boundary value problems involving Maxwell's equations in isotropic media. IEEE Trans. Antennas Propagation AP-14, 302-307 (1966)] is included.
