The implementation of a boundary value method for solving the initial value problem for linear ordinary differential equations on a parallel computer is described. The corresponding discrete problem requires the solution of an unsymmetric block tridiagonal linear system, which is solved by means of an iterative method. The parallel method is compared with the LSODE package and the effectiveness of the parallel method is shown.
