In the last years, the authors of the present paper have applied the so called ``decomposition method'' to the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear differential equations [see e.g. Comput. Math. Appl. 21, No. 5, 101-127 (1991; Zbl 0732.35003)]. Here the authors give some ideas about how to match the boundary conditions when a decomposition method is applied to approximate the solution of a linear two-point boundary value problem and a simple elliptic problem.
