An effective two-layer projective-difference method for two- and three- dimensional nonhomogeneous wave equations is constructed. Its absolute stability (i.e. without additional assumptions on the grid) is proved. As a whole, the obtained results complement well the theorem of effective methods for solving nonstationary problems.
