The purpose of this note is to construct an additional family of finite non-desarguesian flag-transitive affine planes of order \(q^ n\) whenever \(n\geq 3\) is an odd integer and \(q^ n> 27\) is a prime power such that \(q^ n\equiv 3\pmod 4\) and explain why they are new. The authors estimate how many pairwise nonisomorphic planes are obtained by this construction.
