Fundamental equations of the axisymmetric large amplitude free vibrations for circular sandwich plates are derived by means of Hamilton principle. As an illustrative example, a circular sandwich plate with edge clamped but free to slip is considered. We get a pure analytic solution with the aid of the modified iteration method, and derive an analytic expression for the amplitude frequency response.
