A ring \(R\) is called semiprimary if \(R/J(R)\) is Artinian and the Jacobson radical \(J(R)\) of \(R\) is nilpotent. It is shown that if a ring \(R\) is right continuous and the ring \(R/\text{Soc} (_ RR)\) has ACC on right annihilators, then \(R\) is semiprimary. From this result, as a corollary, a result of \textit{E. P. Armendariz} and \textit{J. K. Park} [Arch. Math. 58, 24-33 (1992; Zbl 0768.16001)], i.e., the fact that a right self-injective ring \(R\) with \(R/\text{Soc} (R_ R)\) or \(R/\text{Soc} (_ RR)\) right Goldie is quasi-Frobenius can be obtained.
