    In a rectangle \(Q_T= \{(t, x): 0< t< T,\;0< x< 1\}\) we consider the following problem: \[ u_t= k(t) u_{xx},\quad (t, x)\in Q_T,\quad u(0, x)= u_0(x),\quad u_x(t, 0)= 0,\tag{1} \] \[ p(t) u(t, 1)+ \int^1_0 u(t, x) dx= p_0 q_0+ \int^1_0 u_0(x) dx,\quad t\in (0, T),\tag{2} \] where \(u_0(x)\in L_1(0, 1)\), \(p_0, q_0\in \mathbb{R}\), \(p_0> 0\); \(k(t)\in L_\infty(0, T)\) and \(p(t)\in L_\infty(0, T)\) are given functions, moreover, (a.e. on \((0, T)\)), \(0< k'\leq k(t)\leq k''< \infty\), \(0< p'\leq p(t)\leq p''< \infty\), where \(k'\), \(k''\), \(p'\), \(p''\), and \(T\) are given positive numbers. This problem arises in mathematical modeling of the technological process of external gettering, which is applied, for example, in refining silicon plates from impurities. Then \(u_0(x)\) is the distribution of impurities in a plate \(\{0\leq x\leq 1\}\) at the initial time \(t= 0\), and \(u(t, x)\) is the distribution at time \(t\). Condition (2) means that a part of the matter is concentrated (segregated) on the right boundary of the plate. Existence, uniqueness and a priori estimates for the generalized solution to (1); (2) are proved.
