    On considère un ensemble \(S\) et un espace localement convexe \(E\). Si l'un de ces deux ensembles n'est par mesurable, on sait que \(\ell_\infty(S,E)\) est un espace Banach-Mackey lorsqu'il en est de même de \(E\). Dans les mêmes conditions, les AA. montrent que \(\ell_\infty(S,E)\) est tonnelé si \(E\) est un espace normé tonnelé; mais ce résultat subsiste quand \(E\) est un espace métrisable tonnelé. Ou encore: \(\ell_\infty(S,E)\) est tonnelé si et seulement si \(E\) est tonnelé et si ses parties bornées sont métrisable. D'autres résultats de type analogue assurent l'intérêt et l'importance de ce travail.
