A delay model of a single species population with stage structure consisting of immature and mature stage is considered. The existence and stability of the equilibrium set in the cases of cannibalism and cooperation respectively are analyzed. In the case of cannibalism a numerical example of an influencing Hopf bifurcation on the stability of a periodic solution is presented.
