    Let \(B\) be the open unit ball in \(\mathbb{R}^ d\), \(d \geq 2\), \(B_ 0 = B \backslash \{0\}\), and let \({\mathcal M}_ 0\) denote the convex cone of all (local) Kato measures on \(\mathbb{R}^ d \backslash \{0\}\). Let \(U\) be an open subset of \(B\) such that \(0 \in \partial U\). Furthermore, given \(\mu \in {\mathcal M}_ 0\), let \(^ \mu H_ 0 (U)\) denote the convex cone of all continuous solutions \(u \geq 0\) of the Schrödinger equation \({1 \over 2} \Delta u - u \mu = 0\) vanishing at \(\partial U \backslash \{0\}\). The authors prove the following statement: If \(\mu \in {\mathcal M}_ 0\) and \(U\) satisfies a mild regularity condition then there exists \(\nu \in {\mathcal M}_ 0\) such that \(\nu (U) = 0\) and the convex cones \(^ \mu H_ 0 (U)\) and \(^{\mu + \nu} H_ 0 (B_ 0)\) are canonically isomorphic.
