    Es sei \(A = \{A_0, \ldots, A_{p - 1}\}\) eine Folge reeller \(m \times m\)-Matrizen, und es sei \(N > p\). Die Folge \(A\) bestimmt dann eine \(Nm \times Nm\) Band-Block-Zirkulanten-Matrix \(C_N (A)\). Verff. geben eine konstruktive Charakterisierung derjenigen Folgen \(A\) an, für die \(C_N (A)\) invertierbar ist und bei denen dann \(C_N (A)^{- 1} = C_N (B)^T\) mit einer geeigneten Folge \(B = \{B_0, \ldots, B_{q - 1}\}\) gilt. Aus dieser Charakterisierung ergeben sich außerdem obere und untere Schranken für die Bandbreite \(q\) der inversen Matrix.
