A connected infinite electric network, consisting of voltage and current sources and positive resistors, need not possess unique node voltages if at least two nodes are connected through transfinite paths only, but not through finite ones. A previous work of the author gave a sufficient set of conditions for unique node voltages. In addition to this uniqueness, a maximum principle is introduced now, for the foundation of some future work of the author concerning random walks on transfinite networks.
