The main result is the following Theorem: Let \(C\) be a finite-dimensional basic \(k\)-algebra and \(A\) its dual extension (for the definition see the paper). Then \(\text{gl.dim}(A)=2\text{ gl.dim}(C)\), where \(\text{gl.dim}(A)\) denote the global dimension of the algebra \(A\).
