Chaos in the sense of Li and Yorke is considered for a continuous selfmapping of a compact metric space \(X\). The paper gives a sufficient condition for \(f : X \to X\) to have an uncountable chaotic set in which each point is almost periodic. In the case that \(I = [0,1]\) it is shown that the topological entropy of \(f\) is positive if and only if \(f\) has an uncountable chaotic set in which each point is almost periodic and it is if and only if \(f\) has an uncountable chaotic set in which each point is chain recurrent.
