The author investigates relationships between geometric properties of the mosaic process, properties of the convex hull of the Brownian bridge and spectrum of the Laplacian in a convex domain. In particular, it is shown that the empirical spectral function \(\Phi\) of the Laplacian is given by the formula \(\Phi(t)=(4\pi^2t)^{-1}E \exp(-\sqrt{2t}Y)\), where \(Y\) denotes the perimeter of the convex hull of the Brownian bridge. The formula for the empirical repartition function of eigenvalues follows as a consequence. Negative moments of \(Y\) are evaluated in terms of the Green's function of the domain.
