A method of localizing the spectra of sequences of orthogonal polynomials (Q1917954): Difference between revisions

Let \(\{p_n\}^\infty_{n=0}\) be a sequence of orthogonal polynomials on the real line or on the complex plane. A method is proposed for localizing the spectrum of the polynomial sequence, i.e., the support of the measure of orthogonality of the polynomials \(p_n\). This method is based on results from operator theory.
