Exact and analytic numerical solution of coupled diffusion problems in a semi-infinite medium (Q1921215): Difference between revisions

Frequently the numerical solutions of coupled partial differential equations have not the required physical properties that the analytic solution has. The authors obtain the analytic solution for the coupled diffusion problem using the Fourier cosine transform and then construct the accurate analytic-numerical solutions with the uniform control of error with respect to the exact solution.
