Parallel chaotic schemes based on the extrapolated Jacobi method and a second-degree stationary method are studied. Sufficient conditions for the convergence of the above methods for synchronous and asynchronous models are given. The schemes are illustrated by computational results on a shared memory multiprocessor vector computer.
