Stickelberger ideal and signature of circular units (Q2365043): Difference between revisions

There is a connection between the signatures of the circular units and the Stickelberger ideal mod 2 of an imaginary abelian field. This seems to be generally known but not yet published explicitly. We give the details here and draw some consequences concerning the relative class number.
