In this paper one studies the deformations of singularities which are determined by cones over canonical trigonal curves. One begins by finding a plane model for the curves in question. Further, the main tool is the ``Wahl map'' (named by J. M. Wahl ``the Gauss map'') in order to compute the first order infinitesimal deformations. In the last section of the paper one studies in detail a special case (the first one with non smooth deformation space).
