On infinitesimal liftings and degenerations of Hodge-de Rham spectral sequences (Q1356232): Difference between revisions

The article deals with the degeneration of the Hodge-de Rham spectral sequence \[ E_1^{i,j} = H^j(X,\Omega^i_{X/W_n}) \Longrightarrow H^{i+j}_{dR}(X/W_n) \] at \(E_1\) for any \(i,j\in {\mathbb Z}\). Here \(X\) is a smooth proper scheme over \(W_n=W_n(k)\) the Witt ring over a perfect field \(k\) of characteristic \(p>0\) (\(n\geq 2\)), and it is assumed that \(X\) has a lifting of the Frobenius of \(X\otimes_{W_n} k\) and has a smooth lifting over \(W_{n+1}\). This result is related to one of \textit{P. Deligne} and \textit{L. Illusie} [Invent. Math. 89, 247-270 (1987; Zbl 0632.14017)] and to one of \textit{A. Ogus} [``\(F\)-crystals, Griffiths transversality and the Hodge decomposition'', Astérisque 221 (1994; Zbl 0801.14004)]. The main tool used in the proof is the construction of an isomorphism \((\Omega^\bullet_{X/W_n},pd) \rightarrow (\Omega^\bullet_{X/W_n},d)\) in a suitable derived category. A logarithmic version of the theorem is proved in the article.
