The equilibrium problem for a thermoelastic plate with a crack (Q1358080): Difference between revisions

We study the boundary value problem for model equations of a thermoelastic plate with a vertical crack. The unknown functions are the temperature and horizontal and vertical displacements of the points of the middle surface of the plate. The presence of a crack leads to the fact that the domain of solution has a nonsmooth boundary. The main feature of the problem as a whole is the existence of a constraint in the form of an inequality imposed on the edges of the crack. We prove solvability of the problem. We also find out boundary conditions on the edges of the crack and having the form of a system of equations and inequalities, and establish some regularity properties for the solution near the crack.
