The Hankel transform is defined by \[ (H_\nu g)(x)= \int^\infty_0 \sqrt{xy} J_\nu (xy) g(x)dy,\;x>0 \] where \(J_\nu\) is the Bessel function of the first kind and \(\text{Re} \nu >-1\). The author describes here the range of \(H_\nu\) on some function spaces. Namely, the space of rapidly decreasing functions \(g\in L_2 (\mathbb{R}^+)\); the space of functions \(g\in L_2 (\mathbb{R}^+)\) with bounded support (a Paley-Wiener type theorem) and the space of functions \(g\in C^\infty (\mathbb{R}^+)\) with bounded support. Some results are given also for the extended Hankel transform \[ (H_\nu g) (x)= \int^\infty_0 \sqrt {xy} J_{\nu,m} (xy)g(x) dy,\;x>0, \] \((-2m-1 <\text{Re} \nu <1-2m\), \(\text{Re} \nu \neq-3\), \(-5,\dots\), and \(J_{\nu,m}\) is the truncated Bessel function).
