The author generalizes the Bäcklund theorem to surfaces with Gaussian curvature \(K=-1\) in a 3-dimensional Minkowski space. As an illustration the Bäcklund transformation between the spacelike surface with \(K=-1\) and the timelike surface with \(K=-1\) is given.
