Let \(G\) be a connected reductive algebraic group over \(\mathbb{C}\) and \(\mathcal B\) be the variety of Borel subalgebras of its Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\). The author gives an explicit realization of the group ring \(\mathbb{Z}[W]\) of the Weyl group \(W\) of \(G\) inside the ring of integer valued constructible functions on the variety \({\mathcal Z}=\{(x,b,b')\in{\mathfrak g}\times{\mathcal B}\times{\mathcal B}\mid x\in n_b\cap n_{b'}\}\) where \(n_b\) denotes the nil-radical of \(b\). In this realization, \(\mathbb{Z}[W]\) is equipped, in addition to its standard basis, with a remarkable \(\mathbb{Z}\)-basis which consists of certain explicitly defined constructible functions on \(\mathcal Z\).
