The authors investigate three-dimensional incompressible flows of generalized Newtonian liquids in corotating twin-screw devices. The generalized Newtonian fluid model is used with the constitutive equation of the form \({\mathbb T}=2 \eta{\dot{\gamma}^2} {f D}\), \(\dot\gamma^2=2\text{tr }{\mathbb D}^2\). A mixed finite element method is applied for numerical simulation of viscous flow fields within different sections of intermeshing twin-screw extruders under different working conditions.
