    The author studies the system with Hamiltonian \[ H(t)= H_0+ V(t, x)= p(D)+ \sum_{1\leq k\leq N} V_k(x-\chi_k(t)) \] in \(L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)\), describing the motions of a light quantum particle. Here, \(D(-i\partial_{x_1},\dots,\) \(-i\partial_{x_d})\), \(H_0= p(D)\) is selfadjoint, convex, and elliptic of degree \(m\geq 1\), and there exist different limits \(\nu_k= \lim_{t\to\infty} (d/dt)\chi_k(t)\), \(1\leq k\leq N\). Let \(\{U(t, s)\}_{t\geq s}\) be a family of unitary operators in \(L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)\) satisfying \[ i(d/dt) U(t,s)\phi= H(t)U(t,s)\phi,\quad U(s,s)\phi= \phi, \] for \(\phi\in D(H_0)\). Comparing with his proof in the case of \(N= 2\), he gives a proof of the analogous result in the general situation of \(N\) classical heavy particles. That is, he proves the following Theorem: (i) There exist limits \(\Omega_0(s)= s-\lim_{t\to\infty} U(t, s)^*\exp(-itH_0)\), and \[ \Omega_k(s)= s-\lim_{t\to\infty} U(t,s)^*\exp(-i\chi_k(t)\cdot D)\cdot\exp(- itH_k)E_p(H_k),\;k=1,\dots, N. \] Here \(H_k= p(D)- \nu_k\cdot D+V_k(x)\), and \(E_p(H_k)\) is the orthogonal projection on the linear subspace generated by all eigenvectors of \(H_k\). (ii) The asymptotic completeness, \(L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)\bigoplus_{0\leq k\leq N}\text{Range }\Omega_k(s)\), holds.
